The Role
Kalikas Armour is looking for a creative and enthusiastic person to join the team as a Studio Assistant. You will work closely with designer and owner Jatin Patel, supporting the day-to-day running of the busy fashion studio. You will be involved in every area of the studio, and will be supported to develop skills in the areas you are most interested in eg: marketing, garment construction, event management.
You will develop a thorough understanding of how a bespoke fashion studio runs and begin to build your own network, and explore the variety of career paths possible in the fashion industry.
This role is part-funded and supported by Re:Generation 2031, a Creative Estuary project. Creative Estuary has a vision to forge a new future founded on creative energy and innovation, along the length of the Thames Estuary.
Re:Generation 2031 is empowering more young people to access creative careers, to champion the next generation of creative talent. The postholder will receive additional support through the Re:Generation 2031 training and mentoring programmes, and time will be allocated to accommodate participation in these activities.
